How we serve?
In previous section I told you that we are not a foundation but behave like a foundation through our activities. There is a reason for not registering our “Ahanna (listen)” as a foundation.
Those who have running foundation may already know how they works. The committee meetings, votes, writing reports etc… etc… and also what I noticed in a foundation is, that it is bit difficult to take some decision directly no matter how wonderful or fruitful are they.
But it is also a known fact that registering as a NGO or foundation also make it easier to get funds from around the world.
But all I needed is to project my ideas as a fruitful output to the Sri Lankan Deaf community with less hassles.
So, I design projects to the other provincial deaf organizations, that they can be strong and serve as a deaf organization to the deaf community in their province. In that way I don’t have to handle any huge amount of money by myself through “Ahanna(listen)”. I can concentrate on the work flow and how it should be to bring a proper outcome which I expected it to be.
And the for the software innovation and the other project which I am doing is currently funded by the JTRT Trust and many other individuals who have seen my work and the results. I prefer receiving money to my projects, through the amount of trust one have for me. Because I am doing this with pure intentions and I have nothing in this for my personal gain. My happiness is by seeing the Sri Lankan deaf community becoming to a higher level and get noticed as an efficient community. I know I can do that and I will do that too!
Other than this you can notice how we serve to the deaf community through out each section we have!
